Class Agreement
1. Section A General Policies Lesson Packages:
2. 12-lesson Package: Expiration in 4 months with 2 class adjustments in advance. The Lesson will be marked as absent for absence circumstances in which notice has been made in time.
3. 30-lesson Package: 2 free 1V1 classes. Expiration in 9 months with 5 class adjustments in advance. The Lesson will be marked as absent for absence circumstances in which notice has been made in time.
4. 60-lesson Package: 3 free 1V1 classes, expiration in 18 months, request for absence from class is permitted for 5 lessons, with 8 class adjustments in advance. The Lesson will be marked as absent for absence circumstances in which notice has been made in time.
5. A non-refundable School Registration Fee of $50 is required per registrant.
6. Membership Benefits: 1. Customer service. 2. Arrangements for commercial performance/casting, etc. 3. Printing of learning materials. 4. Song copyright purchase.
7. Returned cheques are subject to a $25 CAD handling charge.
8. A $50 CAD Administration Fee is applicable on all withdrawals and class transfers initiated by the student.
9. Late tuition payment penalty is 5% of the regular tuition fees.
10. Additional costs such as costume fees, competition fees, exam fees, etc., are the responsibility of the student.
11. All fee information will be provided in advance of each event and must be paid in advance of said event.
12. VISM reserves the right to cancel/combine classes should registration be insufficient.
13. Students must dress in the appropriate for class. No jewelry.
14. No food, drinks, or gum is permitted in the classroom.
15. Please turn off all electronic devices during class time.
16. No littering, smoking, alcohol, or drugs are permitted on school premises.
17. Foul language, rude, and disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.
18. VISM Education Group and its staff are not responsible for any injuries, damage, or loss of property.
19. VISM reserves the right to refuse admittance and services, and to dismiss any student/parents at the teacher /director’s discretion.
19. Lesson expiration date and Absence
All lessons will automatically expire upon the expiration date.
Expiration date extension for unrefusable reasons requires documents of proof (one-way travel ticket or doctor’s notes for long-term illness); the school reserves the right to make of extension decision.
No extension of class hours for students who are late for class.
In case of asking for leave, students must inform teachers one day before the class (6:00 pm at the latest. Students failing to inform the day before class (6:00 pm at the latest) will be considered a no-show. The lesson will be deducted, and the teacher reserves the right to make up class decisions.
20. Withdrawal Due to Medical Reasons or Leaving the Country
Under certain circumstances (physical reason with doctor's note, or any condition in which students are no longer able to attend lessons at VISM), tuition is refundable less a $40 administration fee. All required documents (doctor’s note, a one-way airplane ticket, etc) must be submitted 1 month in advance of leaving.
21. Refund and Cancellation Policies
No refunds will be issued after 2 classes. Students can transfer tuition fees to another subject for one time, less a $25 transfer fee.
Withdrawals made prior to the first 2 classes must be made in written notification.
22.Waiver and Release
As a student participant and/or parent or legal guardian of the registrant minor, I voluntarily seek services provided by VISM Education Group and acknowledge that I am increasing my risk of possible injury and illness. In consideration of the consent given, I hereby release VISM Education Group, all of their respective, related or affiliated companies and predecessors in interest thereto, and the officers, directors, agents and employees of each of them (collectively; “Releases”), of and from any liability whatsoever for and all claims, costs, injury, illness, causes of action, losses or damages of any kind (including, without limitations, claims, costs, injuries, losses or damages relating to personal injuries, death, damage to or destruction of property, rights of publicity or privacy, damage to or destruction of property, whether due to the negligence or otherwise arising from or in connection with any classes, performances, activities and events; including without limitation, my travel to and from the destination(s). I understand that as a participant I may be photographed, filmed and/or otherwise recorded for publicity purposes and that his/her name, voice, image and likeness may appear in any medium or media known or hereafter devised, an unlimited number of times, without any compensation for such use. I certify that I have read all Policies, Waiver and Release and agree to abide by all terms and conditions.
